Monterey Dog was founded by Leah Mendonca in 2024 and has since become the most popular dog walking service in the Monterey Peninsula, gaining a following of people who want more for their companions. Leah prides herself on focusing on animal well-being during all activities, going beyond basic services provided by other dog walkers to give your companion the attention and enrichment they need to live happy, healthy lives.

Monterey Dog is the only Fear Free Certified company on the Monterey Peninsula, focusing on your companion’s physical, emotional, and mental well-being. By promoting enrichment and compassionate care, Fear Free provides a positive experience for both animals and their humans, setting a new standard.

Serving Locals and Visitors

Monterey Dog provides services for locals and visitors alike, with home and hotel pick-up/drop-off and services ranging from half and full day adventures, to recurring weekly neighborhood walks. Service areas include: Monterey, Carmel-by-the Sea, Carmel Valley, Pacific Grove, Marina, and Seaside.
